Hi, I'm Jianli - feel free to call me Jerry, I'm a software engineer, systems thinker, and lifelong learner.
Over the years, I've worked across data engineering, cloud computing, web development, and AI engineering. My background is equally multidisciplinary, spanning geographic information systems, computer science, and mathematics. I enjoy tackling complex problems and collaborating with diverse teams, having contributed to projects across energy, environment, agriculture, and business intelligence.
I am an end-to-end, full-lifecycle software engineer. I enjoy taking things from early prototypes, to solution development, then to production deployment, operations, and on-going maintenance, working across the entire stack, including frontend, backend, documentation, CI/CD, IaC, and operations. My philosophy is simple: build it, own it, be responsible for it.

Outside the Code
I'm based in Colorado, where the mountains are always just a short drive away - skiing in winter and hiking in summer are what I'm happiest doing outside of work. Meditation is a constant, a daily reminder that the world is always in change. Outside of that, I enjoy reading, learning new things, being with the kids, or cooking up something good for the family.
